
Virgin Mobile: Launch and Style Guide
When Virgin Mobile came to Canada, Helios teamed up with Lowe Roche to make sure that the brand’s launch was like nothing mobile phone users had seen before. We had the job of developing a visual language that was uniquely Virgin Mobile’s but also flexible enough to be applied in hundreds of different variations. The images above are just several of the dozens of different options we ran through in our initial brainstorming sessions.

We eventually settled on an approach that everyone was happy with and developed an extensive graphical toolkit with an array of original photography, custom fonts, illustration and design elements as well as instructions on how to properly use them.

We developed some ideas for packaging the phones as well. Unfortunately these never got used.

For a while there was even talk about putting out a lifestyle magazine for subscribers.
